Newsletter Term 4 Week 3

Dear parents/caregivers

Hi everyone and I hope you all had a great long weekend and the boys have stored up enough energy for a busy short week ahead. We have an artist, Graham Braddock, working with them today, Tuesday. On Wednesday we have our third visit to the Chch. School of Gymnastics and on Thursday we have Athletics Day at Burnside Primary. Friday sees us invite the Dads to our sausage sizzle and we are involved in a Friday sport from Lacrosse to T-Ball to Touch to Milo Cricket - so stay on and watch us Dads!

MOVEMBER starts on Saturday - please send me an email if you would like to donate or want to get involved - all donations go to help the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand and the Cancer Society of New Zealand paul.norton[at]fendalton.school.nz

Week Two
Last week we wrote some instructions about how to BBQ sausages. We did some handwriting, work in our reading groups and we met with our two buddy classes - Room 1 as usual and Room 22- the newest class to the school. Most of us were involved in the Athletics eliminations day either competing or helping out on Thursday. We went to the gym, talked about groups we are involved in as part of our social studies unit called “Vote for Me!”.

Week Three
This week we have a session with artist Graham Braddock, we may start some clay work with Mrs Coats (who will be in on Wednesday instead of Thursday this week) and we will read some more of “Holes” that we are reading together as a class. We will continue with our elections unit and start to form our own political parties as well as nominate some candidates.
