Earthquake

Battling the present.
My heartbeat pounds,
Like a wave slashing a rock.
The growl of a ravenous lion,
Echoes out of the earthquakes mouth.
Its hand reaches out,
And jolts me from my bed.
As I stagger red eyed to find refuge.

This is a message for all the children in Room 7 - I hope you are all safe and have been able to spend time with your family through this very different week that we have all had. I look forward to seeing you all on Monday and listening to your stories.
