Newsletter Term One Week 7

Dear Parents/Care givers
Hi there..well our blog has exploded over the last week...do read and MAKE COMMENTS about all of the wonderful writing and activities. I have been thrilled to see the children enjoy publishing their recounts of camp activities.

With our buddy class, Room 12, we ran a very entertaining and successful School Assembly on Friday. Special mention of our great singing and our soloists, GRACE and AMINE who were superb. Thanks to the parents who came along to support us.

Well done to MOSS and STELLA at the West Zone swimming champs.....Stella was in the winning 8 year old relay team and she was also runner-up in both the 25m Freestyle and Backstroke finals for 8 year old girls - both times to another Fendalton girl! Moss is the 9 years boys West Zone 50m Backstroke Champion and will swim for the West Zone at the Primary Sports Canterbury Swimming Champs on Monday 30 March at QEII. We wish LOUIS all the best for the Primary Sports Canterbury Triathlon Championships at QEII on Wednesday.

Week Six
We completed the ASTTLE reading assessment, worked on some "Camp" maths activities, looked at using ADJECTIVES in our writing and had a quiz on parts of the Library. LOGAN saw a couple of the Crusaders at the Fendalton Library and we did lots of writing - 2 x Camp recounts and 2 x brief thank you letters to camp parents. We met with and practised assembly with our buddy class. Some students auditioned for the School Orchestra.
Week Seven
We start our maths inter-change again, a reading station looking at 8 types of heroes, cross country training and writing some narratives. We will sing a song about a Nana riding a scooter and look at ADVERBS.
