Newsletter Term One Week 8

Dear Parents/Care givers
Hi there again....Autumn...Winter.... has come after a great week of lovely weather. Congratulations to LOUIS on his third placing in the Primary Sports Canterbury triathlon last week. Also, Michelle, Xiling, Xiaoling and Jooyoung have made it into the orchestra playing the violin. More of the team are auditioning for the North West Choir on Tuesday.

Week Seven
We started some work in eight reading groups looking at some NZ Heroes...lots of information from a variety of sources. We also started our Cross Country training and had a time trial, 2 person relay and Bull n' Cow race too! We met with our buddies and worked on Venn diagrams and we looked into various parts of the world with Mrs Evans on Thursday.
Week Eight
We will continue our maths inter-change again looking at aspects of the Number strand and place value. We will continue with our reading station looking at 8 types of heroes and our cross country training. We will start writing some narratives and look at a famous Fendalton Hero.
